Many Electric Ease users already had estimating software in place before they made the switch – but they never used or implemented it. Why? Due to poor adoption.
Estimating software doesn’t fail because it lacks features. It fails because it can be so complicated and hard to use that people give up and go back to what they were doing before because they know and understand that process!
Electric Ease was created to be easy to use yet powerful enough to complete any estimate size you need.
Here are a few tips to make sure you don't end up with yet another failed estimating software:
Make it a habit! For the next week, make Electric Ease part of your daily routine. Watch our training videos and get your software set up and ready to use. Once you watch the videos, go back to one of your old estimates and input it into the software. By the end of a week, you’ll be able to see how it can help your business.
Estimate all of your jobs in one place. During the first month, it’s easy to go back to your old tools: pen and paper, spreadsheets, QuickBooks. But if you bid everything from the software, it will become much more helpful and easier to use.
Think about the long term. When you’re entering bids into the software, remember that you’re finetuning your estimating and learning where your number needs to be. As time goes on, your bids will become more refined, and you’ll be more confident in your bidding. You also create a bid process you can pass along to your next estimator to help grow your business.
Use all of the software! We’ve built in several easy features that connect your field to your office and your material list to your supply house. Taking advantage of these simple features will help you save time and money on your project.
Don't be afraid to ask for help. We've helped hundreds of contractors ensure that their estimating software is a success, and we want to help you, too. No question is a bad question. Just ask!
Getting started with a new software can take a bit of work – but, trust us, it’s well worth it. You already know how Electric Ease can help your business. It’s up to you to put it to use!
